Mona Keijzer has inspired me on several occasions; as somebody who has the strength to not only speak her mind, but to also stand for her words. I wanted to show that strength on one side, and her kind personality on the other. The background is the environment of the municipality Edam-Volendam, The Netherlands, where she was born and raised.
